WestJet Points

These guidelines are a reference for UX Writers, Web Writers and Content strategists writing for the WestJet. It helps writers create clear and consistent content across teams and channels. In some instances, you can copy and paste directly from the guidelines. In others, you can use this as a reference for the correct language and terms.

The first time you use the term points, write it in full (WestJet points). You can then use the shorter version (points) throughout the rest of the text. The full currency name (WestJet points) will help with the transition from WestJet dollars.

  • ✅ 1 million points
  • ❌ 1M points
  • ❌ $100 points

When expressing a range of points, be consistent. Use an en dash (–) with a space on either side when showing a range of amounts. Do not repeat the word ‘points’ in the range.

  • ✅ 40,000 – 50,000 points
  • ✅ 4 million – 5 million points
  • ❌ 4 million – 5,000,000 points
